Greetings!

Just The Three of us
By Roy Klein

Something like this has probably happened to you: You're doing your weekly grocery shopping, about to pick up your usual breakfast cereal =96 shredded wheat. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a new cereal on the shelf =96 chocolate brownie oats. You suddenly can't decide between the two. Before you know it, twenty minutes have elapsed and you're still standing there, completely paralyzed by your hopeless indecisiveness.

Don't panic. There's no need to go to a neurologist for a brain scan. No reason to start a ten-year course in psychoanalysis. I can fix this for you right now. Just take a deep breath, relax and listen.

OBOW Monthly Green Tip

It's no secret that cooking uses an enormous amount of energy. But, holidays and home cooking go hand-in-hand. So how can you make your holiday season a little greener? Here are a few quick tips to make your kitchen a sustainable one this season.

1.Put a lid on your pots! This traps heat, saves energy and cooks food faster.
2.Instead of using cold water to rinse drained pasta, use ice to save water.
3.Cut down on your bowl usage (and dirty dishes!) by prepping cooking and serving in the same bowl. It will save you time doing dishes and save you water and dish soap.

Financial Fitness
with Joseph Esposito

Q: My son is 8 years old and I want to start saving for college. What is the best way to start saving for college?

A: Nearly a decade ago, Congress enacted a College 529 Savings Plan. This plan grows tax-free and is sheltered from the participant's estate. Certain states offer tax incentives to invest in their respective state sponsored plans. These plans vary in many ways. It is prudent to work with an advisor to help you find the plan that would be the most beneficial for you and your child.
